Huntington Health Physicians: Descanso Pediatrics

I was genuinely shocked to see the low reviews here so thought I would leave my own. All the doctors and staff at Huntington Health La Cañada are magnificent and phenomenal with my children. Both my daughters are Autistic and they absolutely love Dr. Chou (their primary doctor, but we have seen the others, too!) Dr. Chou is so patient and kind (with my children and with me!) I asked Dr. Chou for help when experiencing postpartum depression and she has never made me feel ashamed or guilty for that (other doctors elsewhere have). She helped us when we suspected our children were Autistic. I have never had an issue making an appointment or getting a hold of someone to ask questions. I’ve almost always been able to get a same day or next day appointment due to sickness, too. I heavily recommend HHP La Cañada to all those who need pediatric care; especially new parents who need a kind, caring, and patient space.

Descanso Pediatrics is wonderful. Unfortunately, they went through a considerable change in structure and system changes (tech) during peak winter madness, but doctors and nursing staff are not to be blamed for that. Dr. Castro has been a fantastic primary doctor, but my children have seen all of the doctors in the practice over the years, and I can assure you all of them are knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Not a bad one in the bunch. I disagree with the negative comments on here, but I have a feeling they are being posted out of frustration and anger (which are understandable because it is frustrating when you want your child to be seen and they are busy), but let's not disparage a group of people doing there best to help children during the busy winter.

Extremely friendly staff and very thorough doctors. The best care I’ve ever recieved for my three children at a pediatric office! Thank you Descanso Pediatrics for all that you do.

We chose Descanso Pediatrics as soon as our son was born and we are so happy with our decision! We love Dr. Chou and the nursing staff. They made sure that our next appointment is booked before we leave, we are taken into a room in less than a couple minutes from checking in at the front, seen by the nurses for vitals in less than 5 minutes and then seen by the doctor soon after every time. This is amazing in my opinion since I’m used to waiting 30 minutes average for my doctor. We hope our son continues to have great care here as he gets older! Oh and also ... free and ample parking. Which is always a plus if you’re an Angeleno.
